GeoVisions, in partnership with Proximity Learning, a leader in K-12 remote education, offers full and part-time teaching positions across the U.S. for alumni of the J1 Teacher Exchange Program who have returned to their home country. Eligibility

To qualify for the Remote Teach Program, you must meet the following criteria
  • J1 Teacher Exchange Alumnus: You should be an alumnus of the J1 Teacher Exchange Program or currently in your 5th year of the program.
  • Return Plans: You must have either returned to your home country or have concrete plans to do so at the end of your current J1 program.
  • State Teaching Certification: You should be certified to teach in the state or states where you taught in the U.S.
  • Internet Access: Access to a reliable and strong internet connection is essential.
  • Willingness to Learn: You should be open and willing to learn remote teaching techniques and the associated technology.
These requirements ensure that participants in the Remote Teach Program are well-prepared to deliver effective remote teaching and support students from a distance, while also maintaining the spirit of cultural exchange and return to their home country.

Our Process

To apply for our program, follow these steps:
Begin by creating an account in our Hanover system. After you submit your interest form, you’ll receive an email from the system with instructions to create a password and log into your account.
Once you’ve logged in, you can complete your profile. When filling out your profile in Hanover, please note that you only need to fill in the required fields, including first name, last name, email, gender, country of citizenship, and date of birth. All other areas are optional.
You’ll also have the opportunity to add your resume. Use the provided resume template located in the program resources of the portal.
After your profile is complete, the Program Agreement will be sent to you for your review and electronic signature.
Once your documents are approved, you’ll receive a link to pay the $50 application fee by credit card.
After the fee is paid, and your Hanover portal is complete, we will forward your information to the Remote Teach employers. They will review your resume and set up an interview with you.
This streamlined process ensures that your application is handled efficiently and that you have all the necessary tools to present yourself effectively to potential employers.
